BCS Standings, Jerry Palm's Bowl Predictions, and Don James

Before I post the BCS standings and Jerry Palm's predictions, I would like to report that Don James, former head coach of the Washington Huskies, passed away on Sunday.  He was 80 years old.  During his tenure at Washington between 1975 and 1992, Coach James accumulated a 153-58-2 record, appeared in six Rose Bowl games (four of which he won), and claimed a share of the 1991 National Championship.  He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1997.  ESPN's report on Coach James' death can be found here.

A Team's BCS average and subsequent ranking is calculated by averaging the point totals from the Harris Poll, the USA Today Coaches Poll, and the six computer polls.   The 2013 season will be last time that this ranking system will be used to determine the college football national champion.
