Week #6 College Football Rankings

The Associated Press Top 25 and the USA Today Coaches Poll rankings are now available for week #6.  As with last week, the rankings for the top five teams in both polls (AP - Alabama, Oregon, Clemson, Ohio State, and Stanford; USA Today - Alabama, Oregon, Ohio State, Clemson, Stanford) are unchanged.  For this coming weekend, only two teams in the top 5 will be playing against ranked opponents (#4 Ohio State vs #16 Northwestern and #15 Washington vs. #5 Stanford) and ESPN's College Gameday will be in Evanston, Illinois.  Notre Dame and Wisconsin were dropped from the rankings after their losses to Oklahoma and Ohio State, respectively, while Arizona State and Maryland have moved into the AP Top 25.  Oklahoma State dropped to #21 after their loss to an un-ranked West Virginia squad.  This week's games will start with Texas playing Iowa State at Ames, Iowa, at 7:30PM on Thursday.    Enjoy the week, everybody!
