Earlier today the Big Ten Conference released their league schedule for the 2014 season. It will feature an eight-game format and new league divisions based on geography (East-West) rather than competitive balance (Leaders-Legends). 2014 will also mark the first year that Maryland and Rutgers will play as full members of the Big Ten. In the eight game format (which will change to a nine-game schedule in 2016) each team will play all the other members of its division and two opponents from the opposite division.
